Things for us to do today

here, let’s sit in white wicker chairs and stare out at the trees,

eat ice cream out of the tub

read out our fave bits of poetry

heat up towels and blankets in the dryer and wrap them around us

drink red lemonade

tell stories

hug the little girls and boys inside of ourselves

know that it’s all a journey,

and that in every day in every way

we are getting closer and closer to what we want to be

hurrah!
