I've been struggling with trying to get my book published, and it's made me forget the joy of writing that made me create it in the first place! Even now, I feel like I'm beating my head against the wall with my new piece, because I don't have the beauty and the passion behind it any more. But this is such a fantastic reminder! What are we if we can't create for ourselves? Thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration, Goddess Leonie! Biiiiiiiiiiiiig, beautiful, goddess hugs. This post made my heart sing! I'm conflicted though; I am an art student and one idea that they push is that making art for yourself if immature and that you should be making for your audience. I mean I started making art because it made me happy and now I'm being told that thats wrong? Your creative goddess manifesto was just what I needed to remind me to stay in my own heart space when I create. I had forgotten this and consequently had not lifted a paint brush in nearly a month.
