I had a whole Switch off Weekend! We packed the kids and went to Walt Disney World in Florida for a weekend full of magic and celebrating my college graduation! And I made a wish especially for you Leonie!

And if you need some extra help switching off the internet (and you use a Mac) there is a little piece of shareware called “Freedom” that disables your internet access for the amount of time you choose. I use it to carve out ‘switch offs’ all through the week — any time I want to work or play without interrupting myself ‘just to check my email’ which inevitably leads to more and more time online…

I will spend the last few hours of Sunday curled up on the couch with a mug of hot herbal tea and a wonderful book. This week I’m reading The Body Sacred (by Dianne Sylvan). This book is a wonderful tome to learning how to love yourself for you. I’ve read it several times and anticipate several more.

I’ve been peeking around here for a few weeks and decided to finally make a comment. Your site is absolutely wonderful and very inspiring.

Here it is almost 8 pm, I am still switched on, but I was switched for a good portion of the day sleeping, (I started to get really sick last night) and most likely had a wicked fever (my fiance was sicker than I am though but he is slowly getting better) having sweated A LOT I feel much better, though not 100 percent.

For me switch off Sundays happen on Monday so…..tomorrow no computer, no telephone. Curling up with my sweetie for a day of cuddling. No cooking — we’ll have left overs (he’s a fab cook), snuggle with the furry kids. Then a long hot bath. Then we’ll see what the day brings — a little creativity (writing, bread baking). Then early to bed.

I went with a couple of friends and made pottery! It was the first time I’ve tried, I made a vase and my friends made an accessories tray and an aromapot! Then we had a long chat in my favourite restaurant

I had a beautiful switch off Sunday, I went to stay at Mum’s on Saturday, then on Sunday we drove to my sister Sarah’s house on the central coast! We all lived in the same street in Sydney but just after a year ago they bought houses, mum and dad near Camden and Sarah, Jamie and my niece Jessica and my nephew Oscar, I miss them sooooo much and it was so wonderful to see them all! They love their big cousin Nate and their baby cousin Abbey, who was so worn out she slept all the way home! It was wonderful!

Today I am going to switch off (as soon as I finish writing this!) and enjoy my new home. I am going to set up my alter, do a space clearing, open the windows, light some candles, and spend some time with my darling heart FIANCE! (That’s right he proposed last night, and I can’t help but want to shout it from the rooftops!)
Goddess Leonie, I hope this workshop helps you find the peace you deserve with your choices about Baby Mermaids arrival into this world. I tell all my friends that you are the only one who has to live with your choices, so anyone else who has a problem with them be damned! You are an inspiration to so many, and I’m sure even Merbaby is inspired by you already! We all love you! The Goddess loves you! The Universe loves you too!
