Mama Goddess Video Diaries: Week 10, 11 and 12

Posted by Goddess Leonie on September 18th, 2009. Filed under: Mama Goddess.

Hola beautiful women sisters,

It’s been a couple of weeks… but at last! I have returned… with Mama Goddess Diaries… this one encapsulates Weeks Ten, Eleven and Twelve :)

This week, I wanted to share about my dietary changes I’ve had since becoming pregnacious :)

And, as always the rules are as such:

1a.) I will make them as honest as possible

1b.) I will not make things sound deeper/better/lovelier than they are

2.) I will do them exactly as I am (hello bed-hair and inside-out-pyjamas)

3.) I will try really, really hard not to make any excuses about them (that I frequently forget things during them, that I may not sound grateful for being pregnacious, that my fringe is untamable)

Weeks Ten, Eleven and Twelve Diary…

And if you’re wanting to catch up on all the pregnacious stories and videos, head on over to the Mama Goddess page.

So grateful to be here. So grateful you are here.

giant rhinoceros hugs,

  1. Kyeli

When I had a kidney stone, I needed to eat meat occasionally to feel healthy. I felt SO BAD about it, so I asked my friends for help. A few of my meat-eating friends went vegetarian two days a week, and I ate meat only on those two days – that way, no additional chickens or fish were harmed.

It was a silly work-around, but it actually made me feel quite a lot better, and wound up creating at least three extra vegetarians – three of my friends stopped eating meat altogether! (:

*much love and hugs and support from afar*

  2. Pace Smith

    @Kyeli: So… you’re spinning the karmic meat wheel? (:

  3. Goddess Leonie

Ha! this is wonderful! I love you two pace+kyeli goddesses! you are utter magic :)

LOVE that you made more vegetarians in the world… and that you found a way to karmically balance it :) hee hee! ADORE it! ADORE YOU!

For me, I am actually okay with the death elements of it – I grew up on a farm, circle of life, all that kind of thing… but I just notice my energy get so heavy and anxious and off when I do eat meat! When I’m full vego, I feel like a happy, sparkly fairy. Leonie loves happy, sparkly fairy!

Okay my darlings… off to a picnic… love you both LONG TIME! hee hee :)

  4. kazari

I’ve found the no-pre-prepared-salad thing really hard, too.
Many hugs! Especially for your new, cute, baby bump!

  5. Loran

Oh you are funny–all the barfing slimmed down your face! At least you’ve stopped now. You really are looking radiant, my dear and ever so happy. Hugs and hugs.

  6. holly-uk

  8. Megamus

Oh wow, you look FABULOUS!!! Just completely radiant…I can so tell that you’re feeling better. And your belly is ADORABLE.

I love the way you’re already setting your boundaries and letting people know when you don’t want negative input. This will come in VERY handy when you actually have the baby…people can be ridiculously opinionated about other people’s children!

    Much love and NO PUKING!
    Meg

PS: My friend is vegetarian and has raised her now-2-year-old son completely vegetarian. Totally doable. I respect your decision.

  9. Judith

Once again, you arrive on my screen like a breath of fresh air :-) I love the sound of the birthing centre you will be using. I so wish there were more options like that here in the UK. By the way, why can’t you eat parsley when pregnant? That’s one I didn’t know of.
