Love in the 27th year

Hola gorgeous goddesses,
I found this picture today… and found it so very beautifully symbolic.
It’s me when I was 20, holding my nephew Joshua, standing in front of a painting I did when I was 17 that symbolises everything that is mamahood, sacred and family to me.
It amazes me… that seven years later, here I am, gestating my own little child, and gestating my own mama self.
Today is my birthing day.
Today, my parents have flown from the other side of the country to celebrate with me.
Today, we are going to see our child via ultrasound for the first time, and find out if we are having a little god or goddess (or twins!) – You are most welcome to place your own intuitive guesses in the comments! hee hee hee!
Today feels like the birthing day of not just my birth, but my child’s birth too… and a birthing of my mama self.

I keep seeing you with a little daughter, but then I wonder if all your women’s work will see you with a little boy, to balance…
I predict you’re having a BABY!!!!
That scan is awesome. You can see the baby wriggle, you can see ribs and nose and feet… a whole real person.
And they look so cosy in there : )

Oh leonie! Happy birthday dearest one! May your day be beautiful and magical as always! I loved seeing this photo of you when you wer 20, because im that age myself! Happy Birthday, Goddess Leonie! I can’t think of a better gift than to see your little one for the first time.
(And I’m guessing a wee little man… I’ve never been wrong with my friends’ babies, but then, those guesses were made after spending time with them in person. My intuition may be hampered by the big old Pacific Ocean between us.)
