oh leonie, i love this!
neena beana is a birthing queen, for me it’s because she’s totally willing to trust in herself, trust in the process, trust in her body. how beautiful!

and leonie, if you’re interested i have four pretty awesome delivery stories too. ;-D

Such beautiful, powerful stories that speak of the importance of trust, tribe and support. I love how the one midwife kissed you, the other cuddled with you. How we all need to be circled by such love and mutual admiration for each others power and courage!

And even though I did not birth my daughter, I was nodding my head in agreement when you wrote: “Through each of my own births, I found that my best technique was trusting in myself. When I learned to trust in the process and say affirming things like “I can do this,” instead of negative things like “I can’t do this any more”, birthing felt easier.” There is the physical aspect of birthing (which I am in total awe of!) and the emotional aspect and both are equally intense and call upon deep spiritual muscles to be used. Thank you for these amazing stories. What beautiful children … what a beautiful mama!
